A suggestion for the ads on the left of pages

Rather than have the long long length ad on the left of the page why not split it into 2? A smaller one at the top - so the eBid sellers auctions can also be seen, new auctions/popular auctions/closing auctions in the middle and another the same size as the top one or longer at the bottom?

Good idea Gill maybe ads on one side and auctions on the other??? . But I'd also like to suggest with the in auction adverts, that they be moved from between shipping details and payment methods to one side or the other of the item photo's (if you had ads on both sides of photo's you could potentially increase revenue) this would reduce buyers scroll fatigue and maintain better ad visibility without overtly affecting the auction.The space being bigger and being able to claim better ad visibility may allow better revenue. I know I prefer less scrolling when viewing others auctions

And what about the banner ads now appearing at the top of the page?

All my active auctions are AD free !!
I opted out of google(whatever) and 71 other advertisers.Now to see if it lasts.

No changes as yet.

I'm unsure as to how long it will take to make changes for the ads so I will check againon Monday.

I for one do prefer the ads at the top rather than the side. This will also give the new/closing/popular auctions, currently on the left of pages, as much exposure as eBid ads - they will also be seen on the left at the same time as eBid ads appear at the top - 50/50 so to speak which seems fair to me.

I would also like to see the eBid ads above sellers' listings rather than in the middle as we have now. This I believe will be a 50/50 as well.

This is my own opinion everyone and I do believe it may be the answer - eBid gets the advertising, members' listings get a better view than what they have now.
