    Default Listing problems

    Hi all,

I'm trying to make a sub category using old measurements such as 1" 5/8" and 5/16", but when I "add sub category" all I see is "158" and "516". I'm missing the important bits that show it an imperial measurment. Also, when I try to describe a sub category in decimal meausrements such as 12.7mm or 9.5mm, Ebid is showing 127mm and 95mm As a result, I cannot describe the items properly.

Also, why does the parent category option only go up to the letter "O". Why not go up to the letler "Z" like the normal alphabet?

    What's going on Ebid?

At a guess,I'd say that punctuation isn't acceptable in titles for some reason.
I'm presuming you mean you're listing sub categories with each letter of the alphabet. As the limit is 15 sub cats that would take you to "o".

    Hi, thanks for your reply.

Yes I want to list around twenty parent categories but it will only let me list to O. My alphabet has 26 letters in it!
Any ideas how I get around the punctuation problem? I need to specify the correct product measurements.

    Regards

You can have 30 parent categories, it is the sub-categories of those parent categories that are limited to 15.

Must admit that I have never understood why these limits exist - they used to be even lower.

I stand corrected, your right. It is the sub categories that are limited.

with 30 main cats you could try "countries A - B" "countries C - D" etc then sub cats within them by country.....

have a look at someone's stamp or trade/ciggy cards store and see how they do it as they might work along the same lines

And also remember you do have 5 stores you can set up so in total you have 2250 sub cats you could set up if really needed
