I absolutely agree on the tick box being added next to the search box...... It took a while for me to even FIND the advanced search feature here....not very visible.

I also agree that when you do a search including item description, things don't all show. I did one with "save the children" as a search incl description, and got about15 items, most of which weren't in the YDC charity auction currently running. Or, did I do something wrong? In which case, maybe the search needs to have parameters explained......like, should I use quotes or paren when wanting to search a phrase??

set the site search out in the same way as the search this eBid store search is.

Astral's idea is a good one. I wouldn't want to see an automatic search of title and description. As Kim wrote, that would slow down the searches considerably.

Astral - I agree 100% that there should be a tick box next to the "search" button for searching descriptions as well as title. I heard that ebid is working on search. Do you know if this is on the list to be done? If not I will post in website suggestions. I am new here, and think that this is important for new buyers, as I think many of them are used to seeing that tick box, or the absence of one implying that ALL (title+desc) will be searched. Not trying to mold ebid into ebay, there are some things that just make sense.
