Thread: Automatic emails from ebid support.

  1. #1

Default Automatic emails from ebid support.

At the moment, there are automated feedback reminders sent out if feedback not received or given or something after a set time limit.

I would think it was a fairly straightforward thing to set up.

If it is that easy, couldnt an automated email be sent to any sellers who have not logged in for a set period.....eg 8 weeks.
If the seller then doesnt sign in for another set period, a second email could be sent out a few weeks later.

If the seller still does not sign in - then a message automatically be added to their listings - requesting possible buyers to contact seller before bidding or purchasing. This message would be removed when (or if) the seller signs in)

    Its got my vote.

But I am sure there will be those who would find it a pain.

It's got my vote, too. IMHO, it would be a great way to weed out those who dump and run.

Best wishes for many sales to all,

    Count me in as well.

In fact, I always get reminders, from another site I sell on, every 30 days to sign in and keep my auctions running, otherwise they will all be deleted. I don't mind at all as it's slow going on that site and I lose track of time being so busy and all that.

Got my vote. I have accounts elsewhere like Jan and I get emails every 30 days [if I have not signed in] reminding me to sign in to keep my account active. Doesn't bother me when I get the email....I just go sign in.

    Absolutely agree.
We really do need to reduce the amount of buyers who have purchased an item from a dump and run seller.
Some buyers post their dissatisfied comments in the forums, how many don't - they possibly just spread the word that eBid is a rip-off?
These inactive sellers are bringing disrepute to eBid, and should be turfed out.
Dissatisfaction with a deal is not good for either the buyer or for eBids reputation, which we all know needs to be reinforced.
If you're a genuine seller and wish to make and honour sales, you should check in to your site as often as you can ...
I personally think that bykimbo's monthly 'here to sell' logo should be added each month to a reputable eBid sellers 'about me' page.

Good thinking, Magz. I'd certainly vote for this.
