Default I'd like to be able to cut and paste from my computer into descriptions box

I have lots of info on my items stored on my pc but when i ctrl c then ctrl v nothing happens and i end up having to type all the info out again. Is there a way around this? It works on the forum message box and my about me page but not on descriptions so that would be a great benefit

I don't understand this - it works for me - what browser are you using?

Try using right click > paste or the paste icon on the advanced editor.

I do highlight the text and i've tried right clicking. I haven't used the advanced editor yet but will give it a try. My browser is Chrome. Does that make a difference?

i discovered that it is my browsers security settings that was stopping me doing it. Thanks so much everyone for your help.

Glad this one is sorted out - a problem shared is a problem eliminated in this case!
