Yes I think the price varies

When you convert the US rate to the Pounds rate.

I suppose ebid don't want it changing every day or being $48.72 etc.

    But it needs tidying up.

Lots of newbies get confused by the standard rate, the special rate and the upgrade rates etc.

It has been discussed many time in the past. While eBid has never, as far as I know, given an explanation of the variance it is felt that the price depends on the market forces in a particular country and how much eBid wishes to expand into that country. Nothing wrong with that - all international businesses work on a similar model. All you have to do is figure out if what YOU are being asked to pay seems value for your money.

    But it needs tidying up.
The only issue I see as being a problem is the special offer. I suspect that the original intent was that the offer was only to be open to newly joining members, but the way the offer interfaced into the system it also worked via other upgrade routes and it was easier to let those routes continue rather than fix it.

I have said before that it would be better to allow the offer to new members only but extend the offer period to something like 7 days. Thus giving the user some time to assess the site before paying. I feel that expecting people to commit, and risk 50 quid, almost immediately is asking a bit much.
