Watching is giving the game away which is why buyers dislike doing it
Your temptation after reading this is to click some of my items giving me the impression the buyers are there when they are necessarily not there
Items with lots of views attract other views out of curiosity and too many brand the item as inferior
Additionally sellers without much to do get bored and start looking at other sellers items to pass the time away
Some without the sales panic and click to see how others are doing
Sellers from other sites either get bored where they are, or panic and come in here and do the same

The site owners assume the buyers are there because the views are there
and so does everyone else

so they encourage others to tweek their store, or reduce their prices, or give free postage, etc
they fail to realise the problem allegiance and this has no connection to their stores, products, prices, or shipping costs
and neither has it any connection to those that do happen to buy their product

Try to be a bit more positive.
Some people like to think before they buy.

I sell on two other sites and can employ two different methods to get the odd extra sale from watchers.

I am sure that many people on here would like the odd extra sale.
And if ebid did start showing the number of watchers, you could look away from that column.

hmmm. Houston we have a problem... Y'all are talking auctions and we are talking "run until sold"... there's the rub. .... We are speaking different languages, not to mention the variations of English - ;-)
