Just a quick update, i contacted ebid support who sent me a phone number to contact them direct to sort this out, surprisingly it went straight to answerphone continuously for 5 hours of ringing in the end i left a message with my number and all details of the problem, to which i have had no reply. This seller has 48 auctions still running on this site. Lets hope they will be stopped from trading on this site as they are uncontactable.

fantastic response from the ebid team, the seller has now been suspended from the site and a dispute is up with paypal. Thanks to all for the support

paypal have resolved this issue and a refund has been credited to me. Really pleased with the way this whole matter has been dealt with. It was the first time i have used the site, so was unsure, but thanks to all the help and quick resolve of my problem, i will have no fears of using again and again. Thanks
Glad everything worked out for you. IMHO this is yet another example of how eBid (in taking care of good members) leaves the competition in the dust.

Yes that's great news you got a refund and that ebid has suspended them.
As long as ebid keep enforcing their rules like that they will do well.
Let's hope that as they get bigger they keep those standards up.
Once you let the genie out of the bottle it is very hard to put it back in.
