I think Aviation deserves its own Cat: with Military and civil aviation as sub cats.
other sub cats could be plane spotting - air shows - flying lessons - navigation etc etc.
It really is a huge and complex subject.
The RAF - USAF etc are Military wings that just happen to use some of the planes.
IMO it's more about the planes themselves and not how they are employed.
I think that's the way to go on this one.
