i am new and already addicted to this forum. there is always somebody here to help and i hope it will stay that way. as they say, "time is money" but money isn't everything. i will always find some time to drop in, but then i haven't got a busy life.

Yes I think there is less idle chat on here than there was when I joined.

But what we do need is more members and many more listings.

We need to up around the 4 million listings level like two of our major competitors are.
Ebid always seems to be off the radar when it comes to the press or when people talk about auction sites in other forums.
Yet imho ebid is the best as it has auctions (many others don't) and it it well laid out, support seem to answer problems, and keep things tidy, and the forums are integrated to the main site nicely. etc etc

I don't think we need more listings as much as we need variety.For instance the cars and car parts are pretty hopeless and most of it fits in the "Run till sold,forlorn hope" department.

I think that the quality instead of the quantity of the items for sale on here has a lot to do with it,
No digital reproductions and other dodgy selling practices,
I can still buy digital products, which make up a large number of items for sale, on the other side as long as they are sent to me on a disc and not downloaded and there are a couple of other auction sites where you can still download
