Theres also the fact that all charitable causes are not registrered charities....which is why the YDC states....charity or charitable causes. In the UK you can't register as a charity unless you have a substantial amount in the bank ( I think its £5000 but not sure) but can operate as an unregistered charity. Policing this could be a nightmare for eBid. The charity I raise funds for never has a penny to its name, in fact the members pay for everything out of their own pockets...and any donations are soon swallowed up in costs, mainly postage to send out gifts. So we can't get a bank account with no money to put in it, so can't register as a charity....yet need all the help we can to continue doing what we do.
