During YDC76 99 pence= $1.61 ; the currency rate are in constant flux. Forcing people to use only one set amount will not be fair. The figure of $1.50 a very old conversion rate. This would have forced sellers using the dollar currency to be at a disadvantage. Too much rigidity really makes participation in fundraising a drag.

Can I add my opinion to this please. I'm sure it got mentioned before.

Start bid 99p with a postage cost which is reasonable (uk)
Start bid £1.50 without postage cost which is reasonable (uk)

Start bid $1.50 with postage cost which is reasonable(USA)
start bid $2.27 without postage cost which is reasonable (USA)

Also I think all countries should have the chance to donate something for YDC not just the UK and USA

    Craig..

the YDC has always been open to everyone, not only those in the UK and the USA....

and I personally think adding postage costs into the equation just muddies the waters.

the seller puts the auction up, and adds whatever postage costs will be...
if the seller decides to pay the postage costs themselves, they either state ' included in auction price' or 'free shipping'

Why does everything have to be made so complicated.
