    Arrow ✿ What's up, what's down? ✿

This was raised elsewhere, but seems appropriate for here. It's interesting to see what categories are up and down in their numbers of items.

I've had a look comparing the figures for this month (uk.ebid.net) with June last year (just because that's when I did the previous check).

A few highlights as they struck me:

Antiques Decorative Arts up from 406 to 128,932, an increase of 128,526!

But then you see Antiques Other is down 199,058 so it looks like somebody got a category they wanted!

    Books are up 70,000 plus.

We appear to have gone from 0 to 2 buses... but sadly they're really both mugs. How disappointing, I quite fancied a big red bus!

Disneyana has gone from 625 to... 625!

Masonic is now 66. Only need another 600 and that will be very spooky indeed.

Postcards have dropped by over 10,000.

Smokerama is up by over 6,000.

The biggest drop, excluding those where it's obvious things have just moved somewhere else, is car parts down by 79672.

The biggest increase is in books.

Hope you find it interesting too.

I did all of them, but I don't want to say too much here or it'll turn into a pimp! I'll PM you.

Fascinating stats. Thank you for spending time doing that, Kimbo. I love numbers too. I am intrigued by the decorative arts/antiques category and by the fact that you seem to think this might be one person responsible for the shift? Could only be antique prints to have such numbers I think but how long to list all those in the first place, even with a magic ninja lister? Makes my 60+ items in that sort of category seem laughable!
