Not receiving emails from eBid

I should have received about 40 emails yesterday and today, with both closing and new auctions.

I can live without these, unless I'm suddenly going to get hundreds of them all at once, in which case my inbox will be flooded.

I'm more concerned that I won't get other emails. Is there a problem with Hotmail again? I vaguely remember something went haywire with them a couple of months ago and I had to change my password so eBid could fix the problem. I can't find the thread now.

Are you sure you didn't get a couple of "batched" messages telling you they hadn't sent the separate ones? They've got a new system to avoid being labelled as spammers by certain ISPs.

I get emails along the lines of

Hi Borderdoors,

On Sun 17 Jan 2010 16:51:31 (GMT) we stopped a huge amount of notification
emails being sent to you.

These emails were made up of :
0 auto-repost notification emails.
21 unsuccessful result emails.

these save the inbox filling up every few days.

Nope, I haven't received anything like that. I just checked to make sure. I got the newsletter on Jan. 31, my invoice on Feb. 1, and a notification of payment received from PayPal for a sale about two hours ago. I also checked the Junk box, it's empty.

The last one is what worries me, I did not receive any email from eBid that the item had been sold. I noticed it in my Sold bucket in My eBid, fortunately.

Perhaps it's time for an email to eBid support. I don't like to nag them, but this does look like a glitch.

Hi Tias,
I am having the same problem. No emails from eBid. I received notification of payment received from paypalI - checked 'items sold' and discovered that I have had a sale too.I usually get loads of emails when items have closed, and also notification of relisted items. I don't know whether to hang on and wait to see if it rights itself, or let Gazza know.
Anyone else having the same probs?

Yes - I have not received an email for a sale at 10pm last night.

The problem seems to have righted itself.
I have just received emails regarding items closed and auto-reposted!
Hope to see a few 'items sold' now !!!

How strange...
I thought that the problem had been fixed.
I wonder how many others don't realise that there has been/or still is a glitch? I was shocked to see 20+ items in my *Unsold* list. Normally I would have received messages telling me that the items had closed without any bids.
I do hope that you get it fixed soon.
