What do bin men do instead when they can't collect the rubbish?

Just wondered what the bin men do instead when it's bad weather....?

I'd image that they spend some time listing the things on Feebay that ordinary folks have thrown out and the bin guys have "rescued" because they know they're worth a few quid.

We have not had our bins emptied since 24th Dec, so a good job it's cold otherwise the turkey carcass would be stinking by now!

Just wondered what the bin men do instead when it's bad weather, or is it these boys that do the gritting?

Ours have an excuse, when it snows they put plows on the trucks and the workers are on snow plow duty!

Seems unsanitary to have to wait weeks to get garbage hauled away. Can you call the health department?

it's not looking good for next Thurs at the moment with the predictions of more bad weather to come. There should be some contigency plans shouldn't there?

They drove up and down our road a few times yesterday but did not empty any bins.
