Thread: Your opinion please

    Default Your opinion please

Hello everyone. I sold 2 brand new pc games to the UK and because the buyer was happy not to receive the bulky boxes (which are just advertising anyway) I was able to ship them both with combined total of just under 25 dollars Canadian. (purchase price for both games and airmail shipping included)
Do you think that is a good price or not? I try and save my buyers money any way I can. I think it's a good price but I'ld like other members opinions.

I think thats brilliant. That's only about £13 in our money. I should think they would be pleased with that.

Crikey I have seen folk in UK charging more. Well done.

You can't asked for better than that.

    He/she should be really pleased.

As long as the Buyer agrees no one goes wrong Mikey.
I frequently will take items out of their boxes, fold the boxes and fit everything in a
    Flat Rate International box.
Anything to save Shipping fees which have gotten a bit out of hand here in the U.S..

I don't think that is just a US problem. UK has been getting a 10 to 15% increase in postage cost per year over the last 2 or 3 years.
I started online selling towards the end of 2004. Postage for a pb book within the UK was 46 pence back then; now it's £1.41 !!!!

It's difficult to say if it is a good price or not without knowing the exact game titles but it certainly sounds like a fair deal.

If you were to offer a reduced rate "game & instrucions only" postage option on all your games I'm sure you'd have more international interest.

Hello and thanks for the replies. I have stated in some of my pc game listings that I will do that for international and north american sales. (remove from box for shipping discounts) I will only do it for the pc games though as all my ps3 and xbox 360 games are in cases that are under 2 cm thickness. As soon as I go over that magic number my shipping costs go 3 fold. Does not make sense to me but that is Canada post regulations. I think it's better to ship cd's in a case for protection and also I sell new and used so the factory sealed games are a no open issue. Inside the pc game box it's just a jewel case that holds the game cd and instructions like you mentioned.
