Possibly 20 years ago there was a fad of using a type of thin foil sheets to somehow embellish fabric. I didn't participate but I read by chance that you could use this foil to make shiny metallic printing on ordinary paper or cardstock that you first printed in black on a laser printer, then ran through again with a chunk of the foil temporarily taped on top of that, and it would come out shiny and metallic where it had previously been "regular" black toner.
I did this many times, successfully.
But time has passed and I can't find the foil in craft stores. And I don't know what it's called. Is it "hot foil" as used with a Staedtler hot foil pen? To your knowledge, would other types of foil sheets work too? I haven't experimented because I'm not willing to risk frying my laser printer! Thanks in advance.
