    Smile re: PS2 Problem / blue disc's

    Hi,

Yep some versions of the PS2 have problems reading the blue disc's, maybe because they are cheaper to make, i dunno!.
It's your laser not reading them properly.
Sony fix the problem either by fitting a new laser or rectifying the problem.
Give them a call: You have to pay for postage & packaging though!!

Another thing that has worked is that if you put a little weight to the disc eg: flat piece of blue tack on the picture side of the disc, but not too much so it dont get stuck!. Or some sticky tape.
And of course make sure its free from dirt and dust!

    Sorry cant help no more...
Ah tel no for sony helpline is: 08705 99 88 77 (nat rate)

    Thumbs up

    Hi,

    Great news...
Sony are the best company i have dealt with and their products may be a little more expensive than others but at least customer support dont leave you habging on the end of the phone line and its real people u get to talk to!.

    All the best.

hi eleyn81, a trick that sometimes works is to clean the disk with Tcut or brasso . This also works if have a scratched disk ,it completely removes any scratches (it takes some rubbing though)
    hope this helps
