See i find that very weird, i know a few people that do tarot(friends) some say you can buy them yourself, others say someone has to buy them for you as a gift. So which is correct and why?

What should i do then buy these cards myself or get the misses to buy them had a reply to my question by the way
Hi Thanks for your enquiry. The starter Tarot is a 78 card deck with
the normal reading & the reverse meaning on the card enabling easy
reading without refering to a book.
i assume this means that the meanings are printed on the cards themselves

Came across this website if anyones interested http://www.learntarot.com/

Hi had a look at the site, in fact it is quite a good one.
I have not personally seen the type of cards that scorpio has before,
As I said previously, an old lady gave me the 1st set of cards I have, she gave me them after a reading, I was overwhelmed by her generosity.
She said "they are for you, you will know, you have the gift" :?
She died some 9 months later. I spent many months, reading and learning interpretation of the cards, but she was right the skill was there, it only needed to be developed, to conduct an effective Tarot reading.
I do find now ,that I have (my time) when I know I can read, and other times, I just can't get anything at all. Which scares the pants of people, untill I explain.
I have had these cards 9 years this year, and am still on a learning curve,
I can get very emotional at times, and feel very drained after a reading.

Good Luck in your choice. (gemini)

It can get draining after a read, especially when first starting out or not doing it on a regular basis.

 I want a green one of these!

Tarot packs - bought or given.
I'm afraid the answer to that is the old cliche "whatever works for you"
Spirituality is a very personal thing and you can never be told answers just guided towards finding the answers for yourself. (And what works for you one day may not another).
You obviously have a need to explore Tarot at the moment so I would go somewhere that has a lot and browse. If nothing jumps out at you then leave it for now and see what you get for Christmas. (or something may happen before).
As for reading you using a Tarot pack I personally believe its the wrong tool for the job.If you want a detailed answer to a particular question or a less detailed answer to a more general question then the Tarot's your man. For a general reading especially a remote one there is nothing to fix on therefore you get a 'difficult' reading.
For example you are going to have events in your life. Some good & some bad. There is/was/maybe a change in your love/fortune/self. I simplified it a bit but you get the gist.
Anyway time to dismount and let the high horse roam free.
    Do what thou will

    Lightbulb Tarot cards

Tarot cards are powerful and this power needs to be used in a circumspect way. Our choice of cards depends on many things but you really need to trust your own intuition. I would say that the first thing any new reader needs to do is ask themselves a number of question: the first of which is are you serious about this medium for looking into the future. Its not a fun thing and yet many people start by feeling this fun, and it can be fun until you reach the point of moving beyond the light. The second question is about,"who am I" in terms of ones own history and belonging or orgin. Who we are , what we are, will give a new reader a basis to move forward. There are other questions but enough said now - if any one would like my paper on this please let me know -Bob Brontebooks
