    Question postage for mulitiple purchases

Just checking that I understand this correctly, and nothing has happened to change my familiar system.

The only time that I can set a postal charge for multiple purchases is if it is the same item with more than one of the item listed.

Domestic Postage is explained inthe tabs at the bottom of the spreadsheet, click on the tab for your country.eg "CA Shipping Options" for users of eBid Canada. You will finddomestic and international shipping options from Canada here. Click "UKShipping options" if you are an eBid UK member etc.
Example input for an eBid UK userwould be07=5.00: Thiswould set your Domestic Shipping to Royal Mail Special Delivery for £5.00. Ifyou are selling in a Multi-Item format then you have the option of adding theshipping cost for each extra item that a potential buyer may purchase and thatcan be added to the same package. Use this column also if you are usingShipping Codes. Enter with an exclamation mark followed directly (no spaces) byyour shipping code. eg. !code2 ..Hereyou see the exclamation mark and the shipping code (code2) that I have alreadycreated at My eBid > My Defaults > My Shipping Defaults. If you are usinga shipping code then leave column S (Int. Shipping) empty as these will alreadybe included in the set of shipping defaults.
However, if I have 28000 different items listed, all with the same postage rate, I cannot specify that there is no extra charge for a 2nd, 3rd .... item. I have to tell buyers not to pay, but to wait for a combined invoice, and if they they are too eager and pay for, say, three items on Paypal, refund every item and issue a combined item instead?

You could set up shipping defaults, that I think would do what you are trying to achieve.
