    Thumbs down Time Wasters

Note for you Sellers - keep your sales lists updated please.

Nothing worse for a buyer than to purchase an item which a Seller informs that they do not have after all...

Have you checked the seller's feedback to see if this is a recurring issue with the seller? If it is then I would report them to eBid admin.

Unfortunately some of the selling options on eBid can give rise to this kind of thing from poorly performing sellers.

Yes and if they said that they do not have the item

why leave a seller with a feedback of over 17,000 and over 29,000 stamps listed

the following comment "seller reneged on sales".

Feedback valid no matter what the size of the shop/feedback... that is what happened!

er, you forgot to mention that the seller has 11 neutrals and 13 negatives as well ...

Even if the neutrals are lumped with the negs, the % of non-positive feedback is 0.1% - a pretty good figure.

There is something worse than saying "I'm terribly sorry, I can't find 2 out of 24000 items". That is taking the money and not sending the item.

Are you perfect? I'm not... and nor is your, obviously usually very good, seller.

Yes, I try to be patient with sellers and do hope that buyers will be patient with me. As the listing numbers build up so does the possibility that I will misplace / misfile something and not be able to 'see it for looking'. I try to do the best that I can.

Same here...I don't know for sure if the stock I have is going to be in stock with my suppliers every second of the day.

I order on-line groceries and have to wait to see which things are delivered and what substitutes they bring

Why do some buyers here expect me to be more reliable than a huge supermarket chain?

    Nice point!

The OP is a buyer and has obviously no understanding of the problems of a seller.

Sellers please listen to this buyer who appears to have a little voice on here... the seller in question had just 60-odd postcards listed, none of which were/are available it turns out... small oversight maybe, but one which you sellers must safeguard against if you want to be serious about selling.

Reputable sales are the key for sustaining interest in buyers, not just for the individual seller but eBid as a whole. What does a buyer need to understand of a seller? If an item is advertised for sale, and all the right buttons are pressed, then a sale is initiated that should be fulfilled.

And a bad experience will be voiced more than a good one...

Totally agree with those sentiments, cockneyone.

Yes, we all make mistakes, but if I wasn't able to fulfill an order for a buyer, I would expect a neutral rating - which I have just left for a seller. Incidentally, this was the rating advised by all but one regulars who responded to my query.
