    Default Pending Payments for Paypal

    Hello,

I have sold 3 items on ebid(i have sold numerous before with no problems)
I have payment pending on the after sales log, but nothing showing on paypal.

I did have my old paypal email address on ebid, which has now been corrected.
    But still no payment received.
The buyer states that paypal advises i have not claimed the payment.
But nothing shows on my paypal account.
I have emailed paypal and ebid for support.

    Has anyone got any ideas???

The payment will have been made to the email address you had registered on eBid and so will now be stuck in limbo waiting for the owner of that email address to claim it. Happened to me once and I just added the old email address back onto my PayPal account to release the funds. That was still a valid email address for me though.

You can also ask the buyer to cancel the payment and then resend it to the new one. It'll work if the buyer is co-operative

I had this problem. I put the old email address back in Pay Pal, and the payment went thro with no problems

Reading the PayPal site it seemed uncertain if the 'cancel' option would always be available. Even if not the money would eventually return to the buyer's account if it remained unclaimed (30 days I think).

Claiming the current payment would be the better option as the buyer may choose not to pay again after being messed about.
