    Today I've been looking at some USA stamps with those geometric cancels on them. I haven't looked it up, but husband tells me he thinks that the cancels were made by the post masters out of cork and that they made various designs?

    Very interesting.

    Always different strokes for different folks.

    Hi guys,

    I like stamps in ALL conditions including CTO as long as they are a good example of the issue..

    (No missing perfs., tears or really ugly cancels)

    Some of the Cancel To Order stamps now have a PRINTED post mark....!! Not real keen on them though..
