Not Expeditious

Expedia is now off the list for flights for me after yesterday.

In June we booked Los Angeles to Mexico City flights and in the week before we flew we got one email after another from Expedia saying we had been rebooked on a later flight. Four changes so we arrived 12 hours late.

Same again with our connection from Kuala Lumpur to Phuket yesterday, changed from 9.15am to 5.15pm, three flights later. During the 12 hours kicking our heels in the transit lounge we talked to Malaysia Airlines and they said Expedia is the lowest priority traveller and the first to be bumped off a flight. It happens regularly. No we didn't fly at 5.15pm, we were bumped off without notice and flew at 7.30pm.

Anyone else have this experience?

Now ExExpedia, and looking for reliable alternative. Need reliable travel plans rather than Expedia's version of standby.

I just book straight through the airline, Generally as cheap, and especially if you stick with one airline, they do treat you better. If I find a HUGE difference in fares, I might book through Cheapfares or Orbit, but it's usually within a few dollars/pounds of going directly through the airline itself. Much easier to sort any issues if you deal directly. You travel enough and long enough distances that they would probably be very nice to you!
