Following the debacle over the results of YDC 103, I have agreed to take on YDC 104 even though I still feel I didn't really win. In fairness to Vonz, she has had no internet and to be honest, I wouldn't want to be trawling through all the listings every month to see who had complied with the guidelines so firstly I would like to make a formal proposal that the following
" 1. Auctions should have a start price of 99p or less. (or local equivalent.)
7. Your auction(s) must be for a charity or good cause and the description of your item must include the following text:
This auction is an entry in the YDC nn charity auction competition."
be replaced with
" 1. All auctions that have a start price of 99p or less. (or local equivalent.) will be considered as an entry for the YDC competition."
This should simplify things and make it easier in the future to determine a winner. I must admit that it wasn't till I'd read through three times that I saw the words "must" at #7
Now, I have thought long and hard about this and it is probably flouting the rules again but in light of recent events I am going to suggest that everyone chooses their own charity this time then whoever gets the most money will be the winner.
You can also raise money for anyone else's charity, but to help me with the tally, I would like you to put in the listing title what charity you are supporting.
I will be raising money for the Poppy Appeal this time. If anyone wants to read about the work they do, click here
Any comments or suggestions please?
