Mahjong sucks

I've been playing Mahjong on the computer. For those not familiar with the name it's that Chinese looking tile game. The tiles have various images on them - four of each image per game - and must be matched in pairs to be removed from the board. The idea is to remove all the tiles as quickly as possible.

Apparently I'm not very good at this game. I don't win very often. Far too many times I end up with the other half of a pair of tiles underneath the last tile. With one on top of the other I can't select either of them to remove them. Therefore, I lose.

That sucks.

Anyone else play Mahjong on a PC?

Do you have a favourite version of the game?

I used to love it. Lost the game when I changed computers, and haven't found one I like as well. Frankly, I haven't looked too hard. I just want one on my puter, not online. So, I do other things instead.

It's one of those games (along with minesweeper) that annoy the hell out of me, because regardless of how skilled you are at playing it it too often comes down to random chance whether you can win or not.

Still have the Mahjong set I was given as a Christmas present in Singapore in 1974!

Don't think we've used since we left there in 1976 - so it may be up for sale before too long
