I'm still using my old ex London taxi as a runabout, the Rover p5b (now christened Humphrey) is getting to the finished state but will mainly go to shows and club meetings.
It seems that classic cars are getting to be a target for thieves,my cars are in a compound with security and CCTV but I've just installed an American made immobliser in one.It combines a tracking system and operates independant of the vehicles electrical system. It even sends you an alert via your mobile phone.
Its a bit sad when you have to go to such lengths to protect your property and also amazing what can be achieved with modern electronics, the 'brain' of the unit is about the size of a matchbox.

The alarm cost me over £300 (trade) a friend bought it for me in the states.
I've been in touch with the makers with a view to importing them,I've had other stuff from them in the past and the quality has been good.

Speaking of good handling, here is my baby:

Great for when it snows 5 months every year here.

I drive one or these - had it for seven years now and it's a delight to drive, and just sailed through it's latest MOT
