Not at all. I believe we have evolved,

I believe also that this planet will one day be consumed by the sun when it goes Super Nova.

If you want a 'God' then it should be the sun and the countless suns that existed and died before them.

The sun gives us life as a species and will one day take it away , unless of course some other catastrophe overtakes us in the meantime.

Where all this came from is another matter that religion or science cannot answer satisfactorily.

So we all need to have 'faith' of some kind.

David Attenborough joins campaign against creationism in schools
Sir David Attenborough has weighed into a campaign calling for creationism to be banned from the school science curriculum and for evolution to be taught more widely in schools. FULL STORY
Ban teaching creationism at school, say academics
The teaching of creationism should be outlawed in school science lessons, a group of leading scientists have said.
And the curriculum should be changed to ensure evolution is taught from when children start school, according to academics including Sir David Attenborough and Professor Richard Dawkins.

Scientists Vow to Fight “Religious Fundamentalist” Teaching Creationism
A group of 30 scientists, including Sir David Attenborough and Richard Dawkins, are urging the government to toughen its guidance on the promotion of creationism in classrooms, saying it is sometimes portrayed as a scientific theory by "religious fundamentalists" working in publicly funded schools.

The group has issued a statement which appears on a new campaign website, warning it is "unacceptable" to teach creationism and intelligent design in school science lesson and called for the teaching of evolution to be included at both primary and secondary levels in the National Curriculum and in all schools.

    LOL!

Freedom is #1 with me, too - the freedom to believe and worship (or not) as we choose, without interference from government entities - likely the reason I don't support those who want to cram their beliefs down my throat at election times.

Best wishes for many sales to all,

As much of a contradiction this is, I truly beleive in the evolution process and "it" all started from a spec of dust. Now if we could only figure out who or what put the spec of dust out there we could obtain some answers

That is part of the contradiction when we throw away the Bible stories and begin thinking logically. Just realizing if it all started from a spec of dust there has to be a Supreme being of some sort which started it and I guess "it" is just another thing we don't know.
Did a God of some sort throw a spec of dust out and kick back to see what happens or did a God of some sort create the Universe then decide later to add life? I beleive it was the spec of dust and the Universes, Galaxies and life evolved from that.
I like to use the term Supreme being rather then God. Could be one in the same but I'm not much for beleiving the stories and there are so many stories and so many God's folks beleive in I find it hard to beleive anyone would have a hard time agreeing there has to be a Supreme being.

And from that speck of dust everything evolved.

Anything proceeding that is beyond our understanding (at the moment).

One thing no-one can imagine is absolute nothingness as one's own consciousness would intrude.

There is a great mystery for sure. maybe the best thing is just to accept it.
