    Unhappy Better Promotion of Sales

I know this has been raised before. As part of my retirement plans I am currently running a 3 day Closing Down Sale of my http://trams-galore.ebid.net store. Everything is half price but this is not obvious from the from the main store pages or from search results. Potential buyers will only realise there is a sale on if they open items. There is little point in running sales if the system doesn't promote them; all we need is a small "Sale Price" flag against items being discounted.

Didn't items on sale use to have a banner across the upper left corner of the gallery image with SALE writ on it?

I don't recall that, but that is the sort of thing that is needed.

featured listings has a banner across top left of gallery pic saying featured, so they should be able to do the same with an item on sale. Guess they just don't want to do it.

Yes, its a pity. Its probably not really worth doing a sale as it is unlikely to be spotted.

Besides, the result would be that sellers would list at double and then offer 50% sale prices. High Street shops play that game tediously often.

Not in my case, I am retiring. Unfortunately I will be transferring my unsold "sale items" to the darkside to sell.

I'm so unlucky I went to a DFS store and there wasn't a sale on.
