    Default Renault Clio alloy wheels

I've bee hunting around for some but most seem to be woefully overpriced or have nasty scuffs (and also overpriced). Anybody got an opinion on this? Is it even worth looking for used alloys or is it better to just buy new? Are there any alloys that are less likely to be curbed when there is contact?

I can probably count on one hand the number of times I've hit a curb when parking, I don't think I've ever curbed an alloy that way though as the tyre hits the curb first.

I'm not into skinny tyres, 15" wheels is probably the biggest I'd want.

Hello. Have you tried putting a wanted add on ebid? Used rims are not a problem. Check for cracks around the bolt holes and check the lip where the tire mounts. Alloys can wear down and make it very sharp. (a good tire shop will refuse to mount tires if it's too sharp) This can cut into your tires that you mount. Steel rims with a fancy cover do the trick also. I know that isn't good enough for some. I'ld also check the tire shops. They usually have an assortment.

Thanks canuckbid. I'm wondering if I should just stick to steels for now, it would certainly save me a few hundred quid by the sound of it. My tyres are near the legal limit, I suppose I could look again when I next need tyres (steel wheels will most likely take a different width to alloys).

I decided to go with new alloys, any damage they take will then be my doing. I got some Wolfrace Pro Lite 15" wheels with some good looking tyres and locking bolts for £365, gloss black with polished face, I think they look very cool on the Clio.
