    Default YDC Christmas 2009

    YDC Christmas 2009

For those that know and for them that dont.
A couple of years ago the YDC had a special christmass auction.

Members of the kitchen table got together and between us, we created a kt members scroll.

This year it would be lovely if we could all get together again.

You may be thinkin why i am asking now,
Well, i am hoping with all your help, this year we could aim higer and create a KT quilt/throw.

This request is to everyone on the kt old and new members, male and female and any others

By keeping this thread going through the year i'm hoping that anyone new coming into ebid over the year would see this and then would consider in joining.

Now to make this Quilt/Throw this is what we need you to take note of the followin

We would like you to make 7"x7" fabric blocks(squares).

The fabric used can be any colour or pattern.
The design area should be no bigger than 5"x5" in the centre of the block,
which leaves a 1" border around for sewing them together.

The design can be stitched, painted, sewn...use your imagination but remember the square will be in a quilt.

You can use crocheted/knitted pieces which can be appliqued onto a fabric block...

You can add buttons, charms, beads etc.

As I am hoping to aim higher this year I am really pleased that Sylvia (stitchysly) is offering her services to help me to put this all together,

if any of you have any questions and need any advise, please can you either pm Shezz or Sylvia or even ask in the thread, am sure there will be plenty of people on had to advise or help.

Please can you add your name to the to the list if you wish to participate in YDC Christmas 2009
    Thank you
    Shezz

I shall continue to buck the trend of sexual stereotyping and say it's extremely unlikely that I'll make any squares. But I don't mind sponsoring somebody more crafty to make one on my behalf. Or barter it for techy help or something. We seem to have the best part of a year to sort out a deal

I have a feeling that I have got the concept wrong but here goes.

For each "square" i will need 2 pieces of fabric that are to be 7x7 with the middle bit which is to be 5x5 stuffed with filling.
