Things I have tried to play over the years:

    Recorder
    Trombone
    Bass Guitar
    Lead Guitar
Keyboards (built my own analogue synthesiser)

Never managed to make any headway with any of them. Have now decided I have no musical aptitude and have given up trying.

    Thanks bizarrebargains,

She's tucked up in bed now after helping at the local Brownie pack for her Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award.

Keep them busy - that's what I say!!!

and the recorder.. tried the mandolin and got as far as "Old McDonald Had a Farm" and then broke one of the strings!.. tried the violin but the 3/4 size I have is too big for me, so looking for a childs' one, so I can try again.. I play a Dixon duo-head whistle (doubles as a tin-whistle or piccolo), the piccolo part is redundant because I couldn't get a note out of it... also bought a clarinet once and couldn't get a note out of that either, so sent that back... had a keyboards but never really liked it, preferred the real piano!! and that was before they improved the keyboards!... tried the harmonica but kept getting lipstick all over it so that affected the playing!! Would love to learn the guitar, but it's too big for me.. that's about it really
