This is a UK company so those terms don't apply.

It is registered, as UK companies must be, with Companies House. It is not publicly traded (yet!)

It has nothing to do with it being in the UK (sorry to disagree with you, Madelaine) I trade online, I use symbols, if a company is listed on the LSE, AIM, NYSE, NASDAQ etc then it has a symbol, regardless of the country of company registration.

eBid doesn't have a symbol for the simple fact that it's still a private company, that's all.

Also, not all companies in UK MUST be registered at Companies House. Company registration only applies to certain types of company formations, such as limited liability companies. The only compulsory registration is with HMRC and that rule applies to every single person who trades commercially in any way, shape or form, even if it's non-profitable.

Hope this helps. I guess the short answer to the original query is that no, you can't buy shares, nor can you do any of the other free research we do elsewhere.

When the time comes that eBid does go public, do you think we sellers will be notified of the upcoming event and have an opportunity to buy stock on it's first day on the block? I'd sure be interested!
