Good morning! All is quiet at the moment, but must say that OH was responsible for me getting up at 4. I woke and tried to sleep again when he turned on his back and became somewhat noisy. I know I could have given him the elbow, but I could not have gone back to sleep by then so got up and dressed and will shortly descend to the canteen. The gardener is due for a long session today, so I hope it'll be a dry and maybe sunny day for her. Kite, I hope that the hospital stay will be your last one in a long time
Morning - for some reason my bedside clock has moved on an hour overnight and I wondered why it was still dark at 7.50am!
Now sorted
More new listings up last night and all is safe.
Red hope all goes well today.
Annie glad to hear the knee is easier, hope it stays that way.
Buttons you are doing well with Mikes treatment, sorry Sgt to hear about old soldier toe, seems at present that the proffesionals don't always have the answers.
All safe, here today.
time to do some dreaded housework.
Good luck Red, may your flying days soon be over
House work, you don't mean that you have actually found the floor
Thank you for the compliment about me doing good with Mikes leg, it's like fighting a loosing battle.
I have been told on the QT that there is a different treatment available for leg ulcers but we can't / are not supposed to have it because of the cost, I know this is true as i know the person who has got it very well and he told me, it's not what you know but who. quite annoying really but I can't say anything as they will know where it has come from.
I have searched the net till my eyes bleed and the only thing I can think of or find is called an una boot. Love to Somer, I hope he has a good day, i am going to go to see my GP either later this week or early next to demand help with my pain as it is not getting better but worse, Mike had to help me get out of bed this morning as i just could not get up to sitting position unaided.
Sarge I hope you can fix the toe, what are you going to put on it?
Right troops, not a good start to the day to learn Private Vonz is having to go back to chat up the dishy doctors at the infirmary - please see my post on the 'Vonz is in hospital' thread. Tut, she will do anything to get out of listing duty - shakes head in despair ! At least she has the strength of an eBid soldier and I'm sure will be up for a good battle.
O/H has threatened to take me out this afternoon so where ever we go I'm sure I shall come back with some new stock to list !
I don't know if I will be able to fix the toe Private Buttons if there is extra bone growth pushing through there. It's really awkward to dress being right on the tip. At the moment I am just using an antiseptic and that sticky mesh stuff (can't remember the name of it - begins with an 'M') with padding on top.

Why what did he do ?
Sorry sarge i don't know the name of the sticky stuff either. How can a bone grow out of a toe.
Greetings.
Well that was a bit of a whirlwind! I arrive at the hospital at 9.20 for a reassessment by specialist consultant. "Sorry Sir, but consultant is not here and will be back in later this afternoon". Me, "I have travelled far especially to see him" Her, "just one moment Sir and I will see what we can do" Five minutes later,,,,,"Sir, I have spoken to one of the other Consultants and she will see you as per your appointment". Me, "Thank you very much" (goes and sits down). A few minutes later I am whisked off for a swift x-ray, About ten minutes later I am taken in to Consultant and we go through my copious notes.Consultant looks very closely at the x-ray then says,"please just wait here for a few minutes". Within ten minutes I am rushed over to the lithotripsy treatment ward and prepared for action! it seems that I was indeed in urgent need of attention, and there was no way that they would let me leave without being sorted.I am now home some 6 hours later, very sore, and feeling like I`ve had a good kicking,,,,but with a great sense of relief. I have to return for another session in 2-4 weeks as it`s still very far from sorted.I have the highest respect and regard for the guys at Churchill Hospital, it is without doubt one of the best I have ever had dealings with. Now dear friends I am going to bed,,,,,,,,I have not slept for over 50 hours!
Glad its over for now Red hope you manage a good sleep & are able take it easy .
